The Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA) elected new officers and directors at its recent convention and tradeshow in Arlington, Texas. The officers for the 2007-2008 leadership year are:
- President—Kathy Tautenhahn, Tautenhahn Holdings, Shenandoah
- Vice President—Mike Gately, Hendry Investments, San Antonio
- Treasurer—Joshua Parrott, AAA Mini Storage, Odessa
- Secretary—Dan Small, Diamond Self Storage Management LLC, Pearland
- Immediate Past President—Lolita Bader, A Better Place Self Storage, Boerne

TSSA also welcomed several new directors:
Jerry Cowan is part of Wortham Insurance and Risk Management of San Antonio. He specializes in matters involving self-storage insurance.

Robert Loeb is the owner of Castle Hills Self Storage in Victoria and Austin Highway Self Storage in San Antonio. He has been involved in the industry for six years, developing both of his facilities from the ground up. He serves on the TSSA Education and Convention committees.

Tom McCloskey is the owner of MC Self-Storage in Lytle, built in 2003. He has been part of industry for five years, working for Capco Steel Inc. over the past year and a half. He serves on the TSSA Education committee and will also serve as the 2008 Convention Chairperson.

Brad Young is the owner of 5 Star Self Storage facilities in Allen and Mansfield, and has been in the industry for 23 years. He spent seven years working for a self-storage REIT. He has served on the TSSA Publications Committee.
