Peter Ferraro III, the chief financial officer (CFO) for New York-based Westchester Self Storage, was among 13 people named a “Top CFO of The Year” by the “Westchester County Business Journal.” The winners were chosen for their strategic thinking and management as well as leadership skills that exemplify how organizations grow, according to the source.
The recipients were honored at an Oct. 10 ceremony at The Briarcliff Manor estate in New York. The sixth annual event was co-hosted by the journal and RSM, an audit, tax and consulting service. The honorees were selected by judges by Robert J. Chersi, executive director of the Center for Global Governance, Reporting and Regulation at Pace University; Andi Gray, founder of Strategy Leaders Inc.; and Francis Petit, an associate dean at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.
Family-owned Westchester Self Storage operates 17 facilities under various property names. All sites feature gated access and video cameras. The company also provides free item pickup and delivery to the facility.
