Forge Building Co., a provider of steel buildings for self-storage and other commercial sectors, is developing 10 new self-storage projects in its home state of Idaho. In all, the company has more than 45 builds planned nationwide for the next year, according to a press release.
The Idaho projects will comprise more than 600,000 square feet in Boise, Eagle, Hailey, Meridian, Rupert and Twin Falls. “We are happy to be helping out the Idaho economy,” said Roger Burgin, chief operating officer.
All this new activity has spurred company growth. “Within the last year, we have grown from slightly under 200 employees to over 250 in just the first half of the year,” Burgin said. “In addition, our summer program has also included interns from Boise State University. On top of our employee growth, we have expanded our business from primarily being only on the West Coast to being a nationwide developer with projects going on in places like New York, Connecticut, Florida and Hawaii.”
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Boise, Forge specializes in steel buildings for self-storage and boat/RV storage as well as airplane hangars, car washes, craft breweries/restaurants, fish hatcheries and large warehouses. The company also offers pre-engineered metal buildings for commercial and industrial applications.
