Kent Space is expanding its self-storage facility and office suites in Ashford, England. The addition to the property in the Kingsnorth Industrial Estate is being spurred by “strong demand and a buoyant local economy,” according to the source. The company plans to add 30 office suites and 250 storage units in various sizes. Construction is slated to begin in mid-2016.
Kent Space converted the former Letraset factory building in 2014. The property currently includes 27 office suites for up to 10 people, two meeting rooms, and more than 300 storage units ranging in size from 15 to 200 square feet. More than two dozen companies employing more than 200 people rent office space at the facility, the source reported.
The office suites include furniture, custom signage, break rooms with complimentary beverages, and security including keyless access control and video cameras, according to the Kent Space website. Optional amenities include business storage, phone lines, high-speed Internet, secretarial services, postage and courier services, and catering.
"Given the growth of business generally within Ashford, the demand for our high-quality serviced offices has been strong,” company director Suzanne Knowles told the source. “This has enabled us to bring forward our plans to develop the second phase of additional offices."
Kent Space operates a second property with self-storage units and office suites in Chatham, England. Facility amenities include archive and document storage, mailbox services, portable-storage containers, and the sale of moving and packing supplies.
