Self-storage development consultant Rob DaRos has launched Maple Row Real Estate Advisors LLC to work with small, high-net-worth investors and developers looking to expand their commercial real estate portfolios via acquisition, development or adaptive reuse. Specializing in self-storage and mixed-use assets, the company will help clients locate deals, arrange debt and equity financing, optimize lease-up, and streamline operations, according to a press release.
Based in New York, DaRos spent eight years working as a private consultant, assisting customers on projects in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina. Maple Row will offer a national platform, the release stated.
“Once a new client has identified an opportunity, regardless of its size, structure or complexity, it is always tempting to dive right in, review the opportunity and its financials, then attempt to provide meaningful opinions and recommendations,” DaRos said. “However, it’s vital to have a trusted expert to first understand the client’s vision, growth aspirations and risk tolerance.”
DaRos’ experience includes advisory services, operations management and real estate appraisals. He’s most recently served as the commercial real estate appraiser for Stamford, Conn., preparing support for large tax appeal and litigation cases for property values between $75 million and $350 million. He previously spent 10 years with GE Capital Real Estate.
