The New York Self Storage Association (NYSSA) will host its 2015 conference and membership meeting, Sept. 28-29, at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, N.Y. The t event will feature educational seminars, vendor exhibits and a cocktail reception.
The first day will feature sessions on new credit card security requirements that are going into effect Oct. 1 and the intricacies of a real estate transaction. A workshop led by a panel of experts will explore how new technology is changing the self-storage industry. In addition, attendees will enjoy a continental breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception.
The exhibit hall will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on day two. Also available that day will be the NYSSA annual membership meeting, a keynote presentation, roundtable discussions on a variety of topics, lunch, networking opportunities, a legal workshop focusing on issues affecting New York self-storage operators, and a general question-and-answer session.
The annual conference is open to the public, but availability is limited. Interested parties can register for $175, which covers both days, all meals and the cocktail reception. The cost to attend the workshops is $100 per person per class. The cost to attend only the cocktail reception is $75 per person. Details are available at the NYSSA website.
The NYSSA is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1982. Its purpose is to provide a network of information and experience to self-storage developers, investors and operators in the state of New York.
