On The Move Inc., a full-service truck-rental company serving the self-storage industry, has added a food truck to its product line. The company can customize the interior of a truck with the kitchen equipment needed to prepare and serve a restaurants menu items. The trucks have a built-in generator, water-holding tanks (fresh and grey), an optional soda dispenser and serving counter on the trucks exterior. The vehicle also includes a slide-out window that allows the food-truck employees to be face level with customers and provide more work space for the servers and cooks.
The On the Move food truck offers restaurant operators the ability to serve upward of 1,000 people per day. The company suggests food-truck operators use the vehicle as a way to conduct a demographic study on proposed restaurant locations prior to building, to attend special events or use it as a promotional tool to market brand recognition.
On The Move offers a turnkey rental-truck program including trucks, rental-truck insurance and custom truck graphics for advertising self-storage locations. It also offers a tenant-protection program.
