Alokin Software Pvt. Ltd., an India-based information-technology company, has signed a $4 million deal with Tenant Inc., a U.S.-based developer of real estate technology, to create software products for the self-storage industry. Alokin is expected to produce a range of solutions for use within Tenant’s facility-management platform, according to the source.
Alokin specializes in customized solutions for Web, mobile and desktop applications. It also offers turnkey solutions in several areas including language computing, content management and project management, according to the company website.
The deal has the potential to elevate Alokin’s reputation in the Kerala region, where it’s located, according to Rajeev J. Sebastian, CEO of Alokin. “The pact is a testimony to Kerala’s strength in IT sector,” Sebastian told the source. “The engineering talents here could take up the challenges of technology development internationally.”
Tenant CEO Lance Watkins indicated Alokin’s technical skills and customer-centric approach helped secure the deal, the source reported.
Founded in 2003 as Pearlsoft, Alokin was incorporated in 2011 and accepted into the Technopark Technology Business Incubator program from which it graduated in 2015. Among the projects listed on its website is an unidentified self-storage search engine.
Headquartered in Newport Beach, Calif., Tenant offers customizable tools for self-storage operators, including property-management software, website technology, digital-marketing services and more.
